Multi Home Mitigation

A customer reached out looking for a quote for radon mitigation at his home, along with two other homes owned by family members. He had already tested his house and was getting radon levels between 8–10 pCi/L, so he wanted to get it taken care of and also help his relatives do the same. When I went out to the home, I walked him through what it would take to fix the issue the right way. We decided to use the sump pit as the suction point and seal it with a premier radon sump lid that gets anchored and sealed directly to the slab. That gives us a solid, airtight spot to pull from. From there, I ran the system from the sump pit to the exterior of the home, making sure everything was done in line with ANSI/AARST standards. I also suggested upgrading his furnace filter to a Breathe EZ filter. It’s able to capture extremely small particles down to 0.001 microns including radon decay products, which helps clean up the air even more. As with all of our systems, we included a 10-year warranty on the fan and guarantee radon levels will stay below 4 pCi/L for 10 years. Once everything was done, the customer was very happy with the work and how the system turned out. After seeing the process and results, he decided to have North Point Radon take care of the other two homes as well.
