North Point Radon recently completed a professional Radon mitigation system installation in Longmont, Colorado to address elevated Radon levels during a time-sensitive real estate transaction. Our team was contacted by a local realtor who routinely trusts North Point Radon to resolve Radon mitigation issues for home sales throughout Boulder County and Northern Colorado. With closing timelines approaching, the buyer and seller needed a reliable Radon mitigation contractor in Longmont Colorado who could install a system quickly and professionally to keep the transaction moving forward.

After evaluating the home, our mitigation specialists determined the best solution was a sub-slab depressurization Radon mitigation system installed in the unfinished basement. Sub-slab depressurization is the most effective and commonly recommended radon mitigation method, designed to create negative pressure beneath the concrete slab and safely vent radon soil gas above the roofline before it can enter the home.

One unique challenge on this project was determining the best location for the Radon system piping and exterior fan. The home featured an enclosed back porch, which prevented routing the Radon exhaust system along the rear of the structure. To maintain proper installation standards and system performance, our team strategically routed the PVC Radon mitigation piping to a cove on the front of the home, where the radon fan and vertical exhaust stack could be installed while maintaining proper clearances and a clean professional appearance.
